Amplidata, Panzura Headline Storage Visions Panel on Taming Growth in High-Resolution Entertainment Content

Companies Showcase Newly Announced Joint Solution on January 8-9 In Las Vegas

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. and SAN JOSE, Calif., Jan. 4, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Amplidata and Panzura will be headlining a panel discussion on the explosive growth in high-resolution media and entertainment (M&E) content and new technologies transforming its storage and management, at the Storage Visions conference on January 8 in Las Vegas, Nev. Executives from both companies will discuss the expanded role of file-based workflows as major studios and other content creators embrace digital cinema, and ever larger content libraries are created and maintained, highlighting the need for better ways to store and collaborate on such files from multiple sites worldwide.

Separately, the companies will showcase the newly announced capability to leverage the Panzura global file storage solution and Amplidata's cloud storage solution for making all files available to all the users across all locations in a corporate network - and enabling fast, efficient document storage and sharing via a revolutionary file management system. The solution is plug and play, integrating seamlessly into customer networks without any changes to the existing infrastructures.

The joint solution leverages Amplidata's AmpliStor, which is 10,000 times more reliable than current RAID-based technologies, needs 50-70 percent less storage and power, and costs around 10 percent of the price of traditional storage alternatives. It also incorporates the Panzura global cloud storage solution, the only global file system infrastructure that enables any user to access any data from any site at any time at sub-second access speeds.
